The Caliope Dance Company

Our history...

La Caliope was created in 2017 as a dance space dedicated to developing the physical and emotional body, awareness and creativity.

Already in 2020, its founders Csilla Halász (Hungary) & Francis Ochoa (Venezuela) decided to create the current Dance Company of the Cultural Association La Calíope adding to the team 3 professionals from different geographical and cultural backgrounds: Denise Lagier (Argentina), Carlota Vélez (Chile) and Laia Izaguirre (Spain).

Emerging group located in the mythical city of Barcelona.

Through the performing arts we seek to offer two possibilities to create cultural diversity: either through pedagogical projects or artistic stage productions, seeking to guarantee the entire population of Catalonia and the world a link for social sharing and cultural exchange.
